Gabrielle’s Ballet Portraits

The Shoot

Gabrielle is a senior ballet dancer at the Ana Lobé Ballet Academy and cheerleader at Independence High School. To highlight her talents in this specialized shoot, we started at Edgewater Park in Cleveland, Ohio. We went first to the Cleveland script sign to shoot some ballet / gymnastics poses on the sign. Then, Gabrielle did some cheerleading jumps in front of the Cleveland skyline. It was incredibly hazy due to all of the wildfire smoke, but you could just make it out in the distance. Lastly, Gabrielle held some ballet poses in front of the beautiful Lake Erie water.

After this, we headed over to Playhouse Square in downtown Cleveland. Playhouse Square is the largest performing arts center in the US not located in New York, so it was the perfect place to showcase Gabrielle’s passion for ballet. We were able to shoot under the famous GE Chandelier, the world’s largest outdoor chandelier, and around several Playhouse Square signs. 

Finally, we visited Hemlock Creek Trail in Independence. We shot some additional ballet photos on the trail bridge, a popular local attraction.
