Alex’s Sports Portraits

The Shoot

Alex is a senior linebacker and fullback at Waterloo High School. After his senior session in Hartville, we headed to the Waterloo Vikings home football field. We shot a few photos in the strong winds (almost lost a few of our lights) before moving to photos in his uniform with teammate Austin (see Austin’s photos here).

We broke out the fog machine after the wind died down for more intense shots in full Waterloo Vikings uniform—both individually and with Austin. Both had been injured in their previous game, so their mobility was limited. But we still got a lot of great stuff. The fog is a ton of fun to use during the shoot and adds a dramatic layer to the sports photos.
