Vance’s Carriage House Creamery

The Shoot

Vance’s Carriage House Creamery is a local ice cream shop with 2 locations in Northeast Ohio. They wanted some professional photos for their social media, as well as a short video, on location in their Ravenna, Ohio, shop.

On the day of the shoot, the Ravenna Balloon A-Fair—a local festival—was taking place. The atmosphere was fun and exciting throughout the day. We started by shooting the short video featuring a very talented actor … actually, it was only Austin. Either way, we had a great time featuring some of the creamery’s employees and their ice cream (and trying some along the way).

We then focused on creating some photos. Once again, these featured both some of the employees, the ice cream, and the shop itself. We also captured some of the customer interactions with the staff, as well as the owner, Bill Vance.

After seeing the results, they asked for additional photo and video at their newer shop in Mogadore. Here, we shot an additional short video and photos featuring some new employees and actors.

Several months after these shoots, we started creating social media content for the creamery. We shoot short videos, photos, stop motion, and other forms of engaging content to grow the creamery’s web presence and drive new customers to check out the shops.
